The event currency can be obtained from the Daily Harvests, Seasonal events (City Conquer, Architect, Recruiter, and Defense events), Consumable expeditions, Clan Quest, and from the Community Events (Discord, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit).
You can use the currency in the dedicated shop to buy items and other types of consumables.
