XP are experience points that help you level up and obtain more troops and rewards, with each level you grow.
You can check the XP needed for each level on your player profile. Under your picture you will notice the XP bar.
By clicking on the bar, it will open the Progression level which will display the XP needed until next level and the rewards to be received once you reach it.

XP % obtained when opponent is in the following VP range reported to your VP:
- 0-30%: 0% XP
- 30-40% - 0% XP
- 50-150% - 100% XP
- 150-200% - 150% XP
- 200%+ - 200% XP
